Levels of Support | Support Mill Hill

There are three levels of giving when supporting the Annual Fund:

  • Supporters
  • Top Terracers
  • Leadership Gifts

We want all members of the Foundation family to feel they can play a part in supporting the Annual Fund. One-off donations or regular giving at every level will make a significant contribution to our fundraising targets and everyone who makes a donation of £1 to £4,999 will be recognised as a Supporter.

Top Terracers

The landscape of Mill Hill School is characterised by its distinctive terraces. These have been added to throughout its history and as far back as 1926 the pupils actually helped with the levelling of earth.

Mill Hill’s Top Terrace is the most evocative of all and also at the heart of the schools’ fundraising strategy. Membership of the Top Terracers is awarded to those who commit to a gift of £5,000. (Most gifts can qualify for Gift Aid thus increasing its value to the Foundation to £6,250.) The £5,000 can be made as a one-off donation or by commitment to four annual payments of £1,250 or 48 monthly payments of £104.17.

Top Terrace Membership benefits include:

  • An invitation to an exclusive Top Terracers event.
  • Priority invitations to other Foundation events.
  • Names of Top Terracers will be recognised in Annual Fund publications (although anonymity will be respected on request).
  • Founder Members’ names are inscribed on an Honours Board near the Crick Room.

To become a Top Terracer please contact the development office.

Leadership Gifts

Leadership Gifts are donations or pledges of £20,000 or more to the Annual Fund and / or a specific project that the donor may have in mind. Such gifts are obviously substantial, set examples and help stimulate others to participate. The Foundation is delighted that Governors, Old Millhillians and current parents have already pledged significant Leadership Gifts.

Many supporters make such gifts in the form of legacies or share transfers and if you would like to discuss these options in greater detail, Nick Priestnall would be delighted to offer advice and guidance.
